l&M ARTS – POWER BUILDING to ART GALLERY
L&M Arts occupies an existing 1920’s brick building turned into a contemporary art gallery, on an unusual triangular lot in Venice, California. With inspiration from the original building, a new structure has been built on the site, as a complimentary new gallery. On either side of the garden plaza, the two buildings are able to politely “speak” to each other, while also expressing themselves as distinct. Appearing as objects in a garden, the complex is richly landscaped. The entire complex of galleries and outdoor garden space creates an art related community gathering space that incorporates both indoor and outdoor spaces.
